and introducing in this corner....
I introduced myself in the new member area,,,,
Now I'd like to introduce my car.
She is an '02 X-Type w 127,000miles.
Metallic Blue w tan leather.
3.0l with an automatic transmission.
from what i can tell tell she is all stock, and drives beautifully.
I wasn't initially looking for a Jag, but my VW was showing signs of its age and mileage. So i budgeted some $$ to replace it w a used Honda or Toyota.
As i stated in the new members area, I am a big fan of the older XJ6/12. Even tho they are affordable, I never considered one because of it's reputation for reliability.
But when I found the X, I had to take a look.
I love the more modern XJ influenced lines,
The Blue/tan color combo,
The ride was great, & price was in my budget.
I did find some minor issues w the car & thats when I found this forum to research them. After a few weeks, the car was still available & I was in a strong negotiating position because of its bugs, I pulled the trigger on a really sweet deal.
At the end of the day, I bought the Jag & overhauled the motor on my VDub w/o going over my initial budget. ....I love my old VW, & so glad I decided to stick with it.
As for its issues, I'll be discussing them, looking for solutions as I go on this forum. Nothing major, this is not a project car, but I will need some help from the more Jaguar-experienced as I grow on this forum
