iPhone 6 Lightinign adaptor
Hi all,
recently joined (hello message in new members) and hope you can help. I have the Jaguar ipod connection in my 2005 X type estate (dealer fitted) with the 30 pin connector. This has worked well with my ipod and iPhone 4. Now upgraded to iPhone 6 and its new Lighting connector. Has anyone had any experience of using an adapter from 30 pin to Lightning on the jag iPod connection? I have heard different stories of these adapters not working with different devices. I know you can pick these up cheap on Ebay or £25 from apple, again, any experience of which(if any) works best? Not being able to Stream BBC6 in the car is a right pain so desperate to get this working!!
Thanks
Steve

I have the same system in my X. It plays my iPhone 5s with the apple adaptor, but won't charge. So I went on eBay and bought an older iPod 4 and filled it up with my sounds.
But with no cel connection, no streaming. I do however have a sattelite radio In my car. I used the RCA jacks in the glove box and mounted it in the ash tray.

I bought the cheapie evilBay adapter, and it didn't work. Found a few posts here that suggested buying the official Apple adapter (about $25USD) and it worked fine for about a month. But I'm fairly certain my problem is related to the the radio and not the iPod or adapter.

Update: I bit the bullet and bought the Apple adaptor (£22 from Tesco Direct) and this seems to have done the job, iPhone 6 now streams and charges. I also borrowed an ebay cheaper connector (the one with separate jack plug and lightning connector in one unit) which did not work.
