Current number of owners signed up:

2002: 20
2003: 17
2004: 15

Less than ten for other years.

Updated results recently released for the XF and just about every X-Type competitor.

Even closer now...and yet still not there.

If two more owners of the 2002 signed up, we could include that year in the survey.

Updated results for just about every competitor in May.

The 2002 is now just one car short of the minimum.

The 2003 and 2004 are both about 3/4 of the way.

We've now added the 2002 to the survey--thanks, guys. Hope to add other years soon.

More participants continue to be needed for all model years.

The 2002, 2003, and 2004 are now all either just above or just below the minimum sample size. A few additional participants per year would be very helpful.

i signed up for 2003. carsurvey.org while not really scientific or compiled by repair in any way, provided me with enough reliability reviews I needed to know about the x-type and years. And I still bought one lol

Thanks, I appreciate it.

It's possible that reliability is better than a site like carsurvey.org might suggest. Some sites heavily attract people with a complaint. Hopefully we'll have some actual reliability stats in February--a few additional participants would make this much more likely.

BTT - if some of you new guys to the board haven't signed your cars up for this, please do so now. Every car is needed! It only takes a few minutes and it is useful to keep track of repairs, mileage and such for your own car, not to mention helping others.

Go!

Thanks for putting a word in, Chris.

I will be upgrading the site for those who want to use it to track all of their car expenses. This additional functionality will be optional, as not everyone wants to input all of their oil changes, fillups, etc.

The 2002 and 2003 are now both in the survey, but a single car beneath the minimum sample size. So additional participants would certainly be helpful.

Help us provide a result for your year:

90 X-Types signed up so far. A good start, but more are needed to provide precise results for all years.

Note: the 2004 is now just four cars short of the minimum.

Maybe so. I figured there just weren't enough XJ owners, but looking now the 2004 is halfway there even without any posts for it. And there should be renewed interest with the redesign.

For the X-Type, it looks like we'll need a few more participants per year to have results for at least the 2002 and 2003 in May.
