Default laptop storage under the carpet??

i just read the following in an older uk telegraph review.... any comments?

"Beneath the carpeted floor, a well can protect your laptop computer from prying eyes (but now I have divulged that secret to thieves); there is even a socket to keep it charged. Great engineering effort, including the installation of a mysterious vacuum bag, has ensured that the rear hatch closes with a woody clunk rather than a tinny clang, and the glass section opens independently."

I believe that was referring to the estate/wagon model and not the saloon/sedan model.

If you think that's not far then stove your lap top in your spare tire well, remove the rear window and install the hinges on the glass. LOL just kidding; Actually I'm torn between an XJ and a Sport wagon as I only can have one. Any advice?
