Well, I hit a curb while driving through a drive-up bank machine and ruined a perfectly good Conti Contact tire to the tune of $250. But at least the wheel is still ok...

Other than that nothing since my last post to this thread.

Is it real? It's been more than 3 months and I have had absolute zero (0) spent on maintainenance for my jaguar. All I do is fill in the gas and keep running.

How abou u guys? Whats an average cash, u spend annually ( maintainenance wise)

Darn.
Yesterday I made a post, no expense for 3 months and .....
Apparently my cat was getting over heated and fan kept functioning, despite switching off the engine and temp indicator sore complete right to HOT.

$10 for 3 liters of coolant. That's about it.

Last expenses? I think about a year ago when I changed the engine oil, oil filter, air filter, and cabin filter.

Oh wait, forgot about the "Car Wash" this past summer.

I'll have to take it out for another wash today! I guess I should do another oil change before the wash.

Default X type expenses

Other than tires this 2007 with 61k on the clock shelled the transfer case assy and was a $3600 fix from the dealer. Very unpleasant considering it now needs front wheel bearing. The 2007 was a new trade replacement for the '05 that had electrical issues the dealer was unable to resolve after over 6 months of repeated returns to the shop.

>u hav all the records.

Ya, I keep a little logbook in the car and write stuff down when I get it serviced.

Old school I know, but it's reliable... ;-)

Hi all,

just got that annoying "park Brake Fault" warning and the yellow light on my S-type (2004) :< therefore, brake won't disengage and car won't move.

Rang Jaguar service centre here in Abu Dhabi and they replied "ok sir, can you just drive it in to us here." ...... did they not hear the part where i said the car won't move ??? And when my auto-assistance guy came out to see could he take it to the Jag Service Centre, he saw the Park Brake Fault and said no way. he wasn't touching it.

anyway, some supervisor is getting back to me to see can they come out and look at it.

By the way, anyone in UAE know independent auto-repair place/mechanics in Abu Dhabi specifically (other than the Jag Service Centre) that will do bulb/wiper replacement for me? and not screw you like the auhorised dealer ?

Here's hoping the costs won't be large ........... :<
