Default LED's on the inside

I recently put LED lights over the license plate. They look good and now I want to change the interior lights to LED’s.
As far as I can tell there are:
2 map lights
One front dome light
One rear dome light
one light in the glove box
Two front foot well lights
I looked around and could not find out what size/type bulbs these all take. Does anyone happen to know? Also is that orange accent light in the over head consol that lights the lower consol, is that a regular bulb? And how hard do you think it would be to? and did i miss any lights?

Good luck

I was actually thinking about doing the same thing to my interior. I switched out the bulbs in the foot wells and I didnt like the way it looked. I looked too much like an import car. No offense, but just not my style.

The foot well bulbs are 194. But I have no idea how to change out the front & rear dome or map lights. Let me know if you found out what types of bulbs for the domes.

I'm interested in seeing how it looks.

will do. i was hoping you would read this gotti, i have another idea. what if there was a way to put dim bulbs in the foot wells and have them on when ever the had lights are on? like while you are driving. that might be kind of cool? i will let you know once i find out what kind of bulbs the rest of the car takes.

Cool. Let me know how it comes out.

I'm not sure of havingthe foot well lights on while driving. I guess it would be kinda cool when cruising on a strip or something, but maybe a little with everyday driving. LOL

Jvegas, i've been testing a BUNCH of LEDs for brake/tail/turn signals, and am going to write up a general opinion thread showing the different types, and which ones are best suited for which application, brightness compared to original bulbs, etc. To give an idea, the turns are easily replacable with an LED alternative, but the brake/tail bulbs are the most difficult. I have three new styles arriving this week that I am testing, then will put together a summary page for everyone to use if they want.

HIDs...they should be there any minute!

Interior Lighting
The interior lighting system consists of the following components:

[ul][*]One front interior lamp.[*]Two map reading lamps.[*]Two front footwell lamps[*]One rear interior lamp.[*]Two front door/puddle lamps[*]One glove compartment lamp.[*]Two vanity mirror lamps.[*]One luggage compartment lamp. [/ul]The automatic operation of the interior lights is controlled by the general electronics module (GEM). Pressing the interior lamp switch in the overhead console switches the interior lighting control from automatic to ON position. When the switch is in the ON position if any of the doors are open, only the rear interior lamp can be turned off.

If the rear interior lamp switch is in the AUTOMATIC position, the front interior lamp switch can operate the rear interior lamp.

In the AUTOMATIC position, when the interior lights have faded out, each lamp can be switched on or off by pressing the associated switch.

If the interior lamps are switched on and the ignition switch is turned to the OFF or ACCESSORY position the lights will automatically turn off after ten minutes.

With the switch in AUTOMATIC position the following times apply to the interior lights fading out assuming lights on.

Condition Fade out time Open any door with key not in ignition, close door Lamps will fade out after twenty seconds With engine in RUN position and open any door, close door Lamps will fade out immediately Open any door, switch ignition to the RUN position, close door Lamps will fade out immediately
