Default Left front turn signal light

My left front turn signal light continues to go out. I just replaced the bulb and it went out again within 2 weeks. Any ideas on what may be the problem?

vbsummers1, the first thing I would ask is whether the bulb was clean when you put it in? I know this sounds like a silly question, but something as simple as the oil that is naturally on your hands can be enough to cause a hot spot on the bulb, leading to its early failure. The other thing I would ask is whether you have a headlight that wobbles a lot. This can be common in the older X-Types that have the brittle headlight mounts, allowing the internals of the headlight to flop around. This can be proven by simply removing the cover off the back of the headlight assembly in question and gently applying a little bit of pressure to the internals. If they move around, you have broken mounts. If things seem fairly solid, don't keep pushing or you will have broken mounts. You may also notice that one of your headlights will either point to the ground or up in the air where the other will be more straight forward pointing (like it should be).

After that, it is possible that if you are getting water inside your headlight housing, that can lead to a shortened bulb life.
