locking nut key lost
hi folks this is my 1st time on the forum and noticed some members have lost there locking nut key i had the same problem recently and it become a real headache dealers wanting 100 pounds to remove them etc i persivered myself until i got them of without paying a penny it took me a few hours but now that i managed to get them off its pretty simple
all you have to do is hit them dead centre with a ball pin hammer and they crack open like an egg shell you then get an 18mm socket hammer it onto the nuts and your there all be it your now lock nutless hope this helps anyone out there with the same problem

Thanks for that revelation, However that sounds simpler than it is on theshow ground. So what would you do to those locking nuts that are just roundmetal (not any shape of a nut or bolt head) after peeling off the outercover/case? This is mostly found in s type jags 2003.
For the documented reasons behind this, it's why my sons X type with newly refurbed alloys had the locking wheel nuts taken off a and BINNED.
They were replaced by a brand new set of std wheel bolts so no issues moving forward.
