i have an 06 sport without the alpine audio and without the multidisc player.

it does does have the touchscreen with gps and bluetooth phone connectivity.

i have lost all audio since pairing the phone, it worked for a short while, then when i replaced the front door speakers it started sometimes not working, then it quit altogether.
my phone connects okay and makes/receives calls etc but there is no audio for that or the cd/radio
i have checked all the connectors behind the dvd player
any ideas?

 

who knew that a bad connection to the speaker on the driver side would wipe out all audio?.
well it does!

 

hmmm...there appears to be something else going on and it so far seems to be speaker/wiring related... more to come....

 

First remove battery cables and touch them together for 15mins then put them back and start the car

if i hadnt destroyed the original speakers i would have just put them back
btw... i know car audio inside out so not user error... this car is new to me so i dont know its audio history

edit:
user error. one of the new speaker terminals was just brushing part of the chassis and grounding out. bent it back 90 degrees
