hello everyone, i have 2 questions to ask and seriously need solutions

1. whenever i pass over small bumps on the road i hear this noise from the front driver side like an old metal spring bed. i have had the suspension checked but they don't seem to find anything wrong but i think the sound is getting louder with time.

2. my indicator stalk has the 'TRIP' at the end but when i press it, nothing happens. i thought pressing it could give me information about average speed, fuel consumption and the like. i even bought a new one and had it chaged because i thought the old one was faulty but when it was installed i still could access anything with it. How do i make good use of this button?
