Hello everybody. Okay my wife has a 2002 X-type 2.5L. Since she got the car, it had the check engine light on, the main problem was the knock sensor, and it caused a misfire in #1, #3, & #5. So I finally got time to work on it, so since the intake was going to be off I replaced all the spark plugs and that knock sensor. Well it went from showing 12 codes from before and now its showing 2 codes. I think its PO193, and PO305, I figured that knock sensor being bad and it retarded the timinng was causing most of the problems. But I still have a problem in #5. and that PO193 says something about high fuel pressure???
Well I just pulled the intake off again, I was planning to swap the coils, from #5 and probably #2 to see if #2 starts misfiring. Also I pulled the #5 spark plug that I just replaced the last time and it looks brand new!!! All the others have been firing this one nothing!!
If the #5 still comes up misfire, and #2 is fine does that mean there is something wrong in the wires from where you plug into the coil pack???
And what about that high high fuel pressure??? PO193
I just hate taking that intake on and off, well actually I just hate that one 10mm bolt in the center!! by the firewall. God out of all places to put a hard to reach bolt!!!!! Lol
