I am sorry to mention the word, but does anyone know if the Mondeo Gearstick Knob (Manual) will fit on my Jaguar X Type 2L Diesel? Having a hard time sourcing a reasonably priced knob to replace the tatty one that came with the car. (UK).

 

MalcolmGK, I would remove the gear knob and then using various nuts, see what the thread pitch is. Once you know that, just about anything can be bolted in place as long as it has the correct thread pitch. But, yes, the Mondeo knob should fit on. Just can't say with 100% accuracy.

 

A simple google search returns hundreds of sellers and thousands of knob options for X Type knob.
