Default NAV Console not working LCD flashing C1 50 51

Can anyone help me with this problem. I have a 2002 X-Type with the Factory Integrated NAV Console. My car was being stored for the winter (started and ran around the block every week though) and when I start it now the Nav Console is blank, the LCD below is flashing C1 50 51, and the defrost is set on. None of my climate controls are working but the radio seems to be working. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Default Disconnected battery and eliminated code C1

I was following a thread between FactoryJaguarTech and Solidx, I would like to try re-installing the firmware to see if this fixes my problem too. Does anyone have the firmware?

Default No luck with software

Ok I got my DVD -R DL and using explorer dragged and dropped the LOADING.KWI file onto the disc (7,223,296 bytes) and did not label the disc (label in blank) and "closed" the disc. Turned on ignition (but did not start engine) and took out map DVD and put in the newly made DVD in. After turning off the car quickly I turned on the car (engine too) and waited 10min but the jaguar logo did not appear, only 50,51 flashing in the LCD. Removed the DVD and then returned the old Map DVD, turned off the ignition and then restarted the car, but Nav Screen is still not working. Was there anything I missed? Is there anyone in the Toronto area that can debug this... I just want to know it the reader is bad, or the wiring harness, or the console?

Also Solidx (or anyone else), is the byte size of the file correct? Just want to know if it copied correctly.

Please let me know.

Just to keep all posted. I was able to test my reader by exchanging it with a working one, and it seems my Reader is dead. Does any one know where I could get a cheap replacement? I am checking wreckers, and e-bay.... anywhere else?

Hi, you say your reader is dead? have you inserted a dvd lens cleaner with some cleaning fluid on the brushes? ive just done this to my cd changer as it wouldn't recognize cd's but all is working ok now. Worth a try at least.
