Default need help please

I thought I found my no heat problem. The temp is normal but the hose from the thermostat down was cold. I replaced the thermostat and added fluid. How do I bleed the system? I filled the system, and let it run till warm. Still no heat and the hose below the thermostat is still cold. When I cut the engine off the cooling fans came on and ran on high for 15 minutes. I checked the fluid and it shows full. What do I do. Please help me.

The system should "burp" itself pretty well. There is procedure in this X type forum that describes it. Perhaps your heater core is plugged up. I had that happen on another vehicle.

Get the car up to operation temp and feel the heater hoses and see if they are hot. One should be just a little bit hotter than the other in a system that is correctly operating.

The "bleeding" basically consists of running the engine until the fans kick-in, then let it cool until you can open the overfill bottle and top off the coolant.
