where can I find info on If I have a bad gearbox , transmission or differential. I'm new to the form I have a 2005 jaguar x-type sport and want to do the work myself. I was coming to a stop changed my mine , gave it some gas, then herd a noise like a clunk as if the u-joint was looe. then rattling and then a loss of power . the gear shifter wont connect to any gear, but when I push it the wheels will lock and free up then lock again
