Default New HIDS!

I have been reading over and learning alot about hid kits and after reading SPARTANX's thread, I decided to get the same kit as him off ebay. I ended up getting the 10,000k bulbs because I like the look of that darker blue even though it doesnt give you as much light as the 6-8000k's. When I get them in, I will get pics up asap!

congrats man, 10ks are a bit much though. I REALLY recomend you get the 6ks. I have 8's and arent bright at all. 10's will be so blue they will look cheesy and honda civic inspired (and you wont be able to see **** after 8pm). trust me....

8k to me is perfect, especially with decent fog lamps. 10k will look VERY blue, and the lumen output will be low. 8k has a blue tint, but it still looks more white than blue, plus you can still see at night.

However, I'm glad that I have been an inspiration for you to install HID's .

Good luck with your purchase but 6K really fills the gap

You won't be able to see anything. To put things into perspective, a black light is 12,000k. I'm sure you wouldn't want black lights for headlights.

I'm not discouraging you, but I'll tell you from experience, 8k is the absolute highest that I would go.

Thanks everyone for your input, if It comes to where I cant see anything, I will resell them to somebody else for more! lol. Also I have never put any pictures of my car on here but it is the dark grey color. I have found these wheels that look like the same finish as the car. If any one knows how to photoshop, that would be cool. Has any one heard anything about these wheels? Thanks

scubayachts- The bolt pattern for the wheel you posted is 5 x 100. I believe the X-type is 5 x 108. I don't believe those wheels will work, but I'm no wheel expert.

Those wheels are pretty damn hawt. I'm not that big on aftermarket wheels, but if I ever got some, those would be on my list

Make sure you get good rubber. That'll probably cost you more than the wheels.

Scuba.......it may be that they were the ones advertised because they are a popular size. Ask the question if they do those wheels in your rim size c/w the proper bolt pattern?
You never know???

yeah, those wheels won't fit on the X. 5x108 is the bolt pattern you're looking for and 19x8.5 will rub.

I have 19x8 w/ 225/35/19's on my X and they rub on bumps and sharp turns.

Try some 19x7's if you could find them! I had a hard time, so I settled for the 19x8's.

Yeah scuba those rims are hot! I like those a lot and especially the price...but they unfortunately wont fit and you more than likely wont be able to find rims with your bolt pattern that you actually like....that seems to be the way it boes unless you spend some more mucho denero! Try to look for the 7-7.5 inch rims as they would have less tendency to rub...listen to the others on here that personally have rubbing issues...my wheels are the same size as factory 17's and they have rubbed so be careful what you do especially if you ever use your rear seat!
