Default New lugnuts

I have a 2004 Xtype 2.5, I have looked everywhere for some onepiece
lugnuts and finally found some. The main problem was finding lugnuts
with a short enough shank. I bought a set off ebay that were pretty
much a perfect fit. They are Gorilla lugnuts, ebay item part #
181361451304, Gorilla Mfg #73138J, ebay seller Tuneshop, price
$97.95. They are a little pricey but they look great and fit good.

Glad you found some

I used Toyota ones but didn't post because they don't sell the same models in the USA

I bought the cheaper ones on Ebay for around $30 and after a few months they were completely covered in rust and look like garbage now so I think you made the right call.

Default Why?

Would you tell us, please, why did you change the lug nuts? Thanks.

Because the idiotic cover that Jaguar decided to put over the lugnut strips, therefore that cover turns and not the lugnut; leaving you with towing the car to the dealer or service center. This problem is greatly amplified when the wrong wrench was supplied with your car as well (hand up).

I had about 6 of them strip before I changed the rims (and lugnuts). Jaguar doesn't stand behind them and indicates you did something wrong...at least the dealer I dealt with the first time this happened.

I changed mine for solid Toyota nuts after damaging one of my covers. Also got rid of the awful Jaguar locking nuts as well.

The Toyota nuts are M12x1.5 and the ones I bought are for the UK Toyota Celica/MR2/Avensis/Corolla, I'm not sure of the US models or specs. I got mine from ebay here - Genuine Toyota Celica/MR2/Avensis/Corolla/Aygo Alloy Wheel Nuts x 20 Flat Seat | eBay

I think most of the Toyota / Mitsubishi nuts fit, a search of the forum will throw up plenty of threads the S Types use the same nut.

Thanks! That is why I love my Mechanic. I had the same issue. I purchased brand new lug nuts and he also told me to purchase the special socket to have them removed in case I have a flat on the road. Thanks!

Just to chime, I bought some of the $30 Toyota lug nuts off eBay, as many others have done and suggested. They were fine (although they stick out a bit).

BUT after about a year, they are rusting on the outside. Going to look for a new solution.
