what happens when you take it off auto for brightness.. ?
what happens when you take it off auto for brightness.. ?
when in twilight ... it is dimmer,
when in nightime backgound is black.
all that works fine.
but as soon as I put in AUTO, it goes to night mode.. - because the headlight switch is forcing the headlights on.

I assume for night mode.. the dashlight wire will throw the nav into night mode. my dash lights are on also as part of the drls, so that is probably why it gets forced into night mode if I select AUTO.
I dont know how the nav system is supposed to select twilight settings?
I also wonder if this is a problem with my car or maybe all canadian 02s dont work right.

ya that would work for changeover to night mode.
If I have the key in position one ( accessory ) the drls are not on, and so I can use the switch to turn the parking lights on and off.
if the nav is in auto, then this will go back and forth to day and night brightness.....
question still remains is how and when does the twilight setting get activated when in AUTO?
