I just added half a quart of oil and honestly, it's the first time I've looked inside the oil fill cap. I was kinda surprised.

Was this just well taken care of? We've had the car about 6 months.

yardbird, with the new detergents that they are putting in oils, that looks about right. You shouldn't see the black mung that used to form in the older cars. This was a combination of the thicker oils that were run back then, better manufacturing processes now, and the detergents added to oils to help minimize gum build up.
