Hi all.

Parking sensors malfunctioning. When putting car in reverse (manual), sensors beep for about 3 sec and then shut off and red light in ceiling is flashing.
I am aware the listening for ticking sound from functioning sensors, but no ticking from neither front or rear. Guess the system shuts down due to malfunctioning.
How do I locate the malfunctioning sensor?

 

oyster, I would say to get the help of a friend and have them repeatedly put the car in REVERSE as you keep your ear next to the sensors. The other option is to simply buy a new sensor and then replace one sensor at a time with the spare you bought and see when the system comes back to normal. Granted, this only works if you have a single bad sensor. If you have 2 or more, then you will get the same indications regardless of what you do.
