This Auxford device seems to do the same thing the ACM will do, for half the $$$. I'm going to look a little more into it, but if this will fix the X, and it seems like it will...I'm gonna buy one.

 

Dont see where that will fit into an x-type.

 

If you want the real deal, just get it from FJT at a good price. But if you are looking for a quick fix, according to their charts the VIDFM8T and the VIDFM40T will fit the 2002 to 2007 X-Type. This disadvantage seems to be that you are not charging your iPod while it is hooked in,via RCA cables. I assume you just hook it in at the fuse box, like most add ons. Is that correct? I know that the X-Type can have some sensitive electronics, so I would want to confirm that prior to making any connection. What say you FJT?

The SDSFORD unit is listed as working through the CD changer in the S-Type, but not the X-Type. I thought they were the same, but I guess not. What about it FJT? Why would it work in one but not the other?

2002 x type was the first for jaguar to run the telematics system off a D2B fiber optic cable.. only s type 2003 and on had it had D2b not early s types
