Default Premium Sound upgrade

The upgrade has now been done.
The interior looks fantastic (Cranberry with chrome and some black).
All the speakers have the Focal badge on them.
The custom made tweeter grills look like factory fit in the door mirrors.
The boot has lost hardly any space.
The chrome rings around the main speaker grills really set off the inside of the car.
The head unit can be turned up to full volume and no distortion.
The audio specialists called Bassmechanix (they featured in last months FastCar) who fitted the upgrades took 163 pictures of the upgrade which they are sorting/labelling this week so hopefully will have some pics to post when I come back from the X type factory tour next Monday.
Next step is bass blockers for the cabin speakers and a seperate amp to power the sub which can handle a lot more power.
Pics to follow soon.......

Congrats buck! Wish I could hear it! Didn't you upgrade the amp for the focals? If they are component speakers why do you need bass blockers? The crossover should do the dirty work or fine tune your highs on the amp???

As I understand it the Focal component speakers are full range speakers and their dedicatedcrossover is for the midrange/tweeter only.
The standard Jag premium amp was used to try and keep the headunit and amp OE spec and make the installation a bit easier????
In the next stage the bass blockers would block the bass to the cabin speakers only which are full range and the bass would come from the Focal one in the boot with its own dedicated amp.

Lookin forward to the pics Buck! Would love to also hear what the Focals sound like. Not sure what to think about Cranberry on the interior..[sm=smiley5.gif]

As for my project is still 'under repair' trying to work out short circuit.

Your telling me all the money you spent on those focals and they don't have a crossover? Are they bi-ampable?
