radio/clock display problem
Hello everyone! I bought a 02 x-type 2.5 sport a couple weeks ago. This place is great, I have found a bunch of needed info on here. But now I have a problem.
The clock display, which is also the radio display, goes blank. The radio still works when the display goes out. Its just that the whole screen is blank. It stays lit up, however no into is shown. I can't see what cd track its on, time, radio station ect.
Anyone have and info on this?
thanks.
here is a picture of it (with my awesome paint skillz!)

RE: radio/clock display problem
Does this happen intermittently? When its cold outside? Chances are something is loose inside could be like a loose soilder or something. It may be cheaper to purchase another one from e-bay for under $100 or if you know someone who has the skills required to open and diagnose then that route may be cheaper. This happened to me on my old car. Nothing major, just more of an inconvenience.

RE: radio/clock display problem
yeah seems like something is loose inside. Prob some ribbon or something. Once again If it bothers you I would take the easy way and look for a deal on ebay or if you want to try and fix it you can go to a electrical repair shop. But once again is the hassle and uncertainty worth not spending a hundred bucks and just buying one from ebay?
