Reverse sensor

I need help with my 02 x-type my reverse sensors go off all the time in {p r n d} and the reverse lights are on all the time.i all ready replaced the park neutral safty switch .

Driver12, do the reverse lights go out when you turn the car off? How good are you with a multimeter. This sounds like it will be a fairly easy one to diagnose, but it will require some work on your part with a multimeter. If you are interested in this, let me know. BUt, based on what you are describing, odds are a connector has failed on you and it is allowing 2 wires to touch, leading to the reverse lights being on.
