Default Reverse warning sensor

Hey Guys

The sensor has been working but a week ago it would stay on for about 5 seconds when I put the car in reverse when there was nothing around and now it has stopped working altogether. It's not that big a deal but it's an annoyance since I like everything to function.

Anyone experience this?

sidewalk, with the parking brake engaged (or the use of a second person), put the car in reverse (with the engine off) and then walk to the back of the car and put your ear up near each of the sensors (total of 4 of them back there). Do you hear a high pitch squeal out of each one? If you don't hear it out of just one, then that sensor is bad. If you don't hear it out of any of them, then you either have a bad fuse or the backup sensor module is bad. If you want to get into more troubleshooting, let me know.

Yeah, kind of like a sonar ping. I have a bad right outer one that will act up on occasion and give the tone. Quite frankly rather than replace the sensor I'll just yank the thing, I don't have much use for this feature personally.
