Hi

My reversing lights and park aid stopped working at the same time. Are they in any way connected? I have checked the fuses and they are ok. A day before this happened I put the car through a car wash which normally doesn't affect the the park aid sensors.

I would be grateful for any ideas or advice

James, the parking aide only knows that you are backing up by the car sending power to your reverse lights. So, if they are not working, then the parking aide system will not work. Check the fuse for your reverse lights and if that is good, then odds are you have a bad switch for the reverse lights (if you are not sure where this is located, post here as to what year your car is, what size is your motor, and whether you have a manual or automatic tranny). From there I can give you a bit more detailed information on where to find things.
