Right Hand Dip Headlight
Am I doing something wromg? I am unable to access the right hand side diped headlight bulb. The cover retaining clips come off OK but their is not clearance for the cover to come off so I can get my hand in to remove the bulb. The traction control block is in the way. Any answers greatfully received.
Bille, unfortunately, removing the bumper cover is the answer in this case. It is easier than you think. You will need access to a 10mm socket and a T-25 (?) torx bit. From there, you remove the bolts around the front of the bumper cover and the bolts necessary to remove the plate on the bottom of the car. From there, you can remove the 4 bolts around the headlights holding the bumper cover in place. DO NOT PULL YET!!!!!!! You have 2 more bolts (1 on each side) just in front of the side marker lights that you have to reach up inside the bumper cover to remove. Once those are removed, you can pull out to the side the bumper cover (where it stops at the wheel) to undo the latches that hold the top of the bumper cover to the body work. Once both sides are free, you can drop the bumper cover to the ground. From there, 2 more bolts for each headlight and the headlight can slide out.
Install is the reverse process.

In the UK we don't have the side markers, also you only need to undo the bolts at the ends of the bottom splash guard.
Ease the wheel arch liner out and you can feel the 10mm bolt about 2 inches in along the line where the bumper meets the wing.
Be prepared for the bolts around the headlight unit to snap off.
The four along the top of the bumper had been snapped by someone previous and the 2 lower inner headlight bolts snapped when i was changing mine.
The hardest part is getting the connector off the back of the headlight
As you are also in Reading if you need any help let me know
