Question Seat Gear Problem

All of a sudden my driver's seat will not adjust up or down anymore. you can hear the relay click and you can hear the motor try to run, but after about 1/4 inch of movement it stops. So my guess is there is something wrong with the gear underneath the seat.

Does anyone know how to disassemble the seat at least far enough to get access to the gear assembly under the seat to see what is wrong with it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

plastic gear, broken teeth, that is what happened to mine.
there are 2 up down motors, one for the front of the seat, one for the rear. which one is it?

Dealer sells the motors for about 2-3 hundred each..

Check to see if the little spring type shaft is still attached.. I had one go that controlled the fore aft movement on one side of the seat.

Undo the four bolts that hold the seat to the floor of the car to gain under seat access....
