Default sensor problem?

Sometimes car runs ok but sometimes it runs bad and wont rev past 3000rpms, when its running bad it jerks and acts like its running out of gas at 2800-3000rpms. Then i let up enough to get it to shift and it goes away but still doesnt run good. The next time i drive it might not do it but still doesnt seem to run like it should (maybe a miss?)but runs ok and will rev to red line. Just did plugs, fuel filter, maf sensor and punched out cats(90% sure one was plugged) still does it. Anybody else have similar symptoms?

When you changed the plugs did you replace the intake gaskets?
sounds to me like you may have a vacuum leak.
Also what plugs did you use our cats do not like the multi ground electrodes

do you have a check engine light? If so have the codes read and post them here that will point us in the right direction.

The engine light has been on since i bought the car but ive tried to pull codes and scanner showed none which makes no sense if the engine light is on
