Quote: I picked up a brand new set of the 18" BBS Melbournes as well. :-) Gorgeous rims.

I intend to use them as my summer set. Jeremy, do you know if the Melbournes require special tire valves, and if so, where to purchase them? Someone had mentioned that on the Jag Forum a while back, but I don't know how true the statement was.
As I understand it, they are unique to BBS. This is because the air valve is in a three-piece bolt hole. I think many three-piece BBS do this, so a Discount Tire store or other BBS dealer should be able to get them. I didn't have to worry about it, because my car came with them and they were on there about a week under my ownership (and have been under the house ever since).

Good choice. The Bilstein HDs are brutal and the extreme pressure in their valving actually can lift a car up 3/8 of an inch or so (I installed and have seen this first hand about 5 times - actually saw them lift a gutted Scirocco MkI up more than an inch in back).
