Default Sport Model Boot Plinth on Non-sport Model

Hi forum -

Anyone know if the sport model booth plinths are a direct fit to non-sport models. Here is a link to a sport model boot plinth.

Thinking about purchasing this newer boot plinth model rather than removing the chrome and painting my existing, non-sport model.

My only question is will the underneath trunk release work on a car that has the in the middle release...otherwise, they are pretty much the same.

All the boot/trunk release buttons operate a press-to-make switch so are electrically interchangeable. The position of the switch was changed in 2004, maybe to look neater and/or maybe to reduce the switches vulnerability to water ingress. Make sure your new plinth comes complete with number plate lamps as they are not interchangeable the old ones. Wiring connectors are the same according to the wiring diagrams.
