Default Super Small Coolant Leak - Pictures Inside

I went to bake my headlight today to get the adjuster fixed (which went super smooth btw), and noticed that underneath my car I had two very small drops of red coolant on the garage floor. After working on my headlight and getting it setup so the silicon sealant can dry I investigated.

It appears there is a valve where it T's off and it looks like this may be the thermostat but I am not totally sure...looks like it would be an underneath the car replacement if I were to replace it...anyone know what it is and what its going to take to get it all sealed off?

TIA

Looks like you hose housing to the thermostat is cracked. You can only buy the whole hose unit, from the engine to the thermostat housing to the radiator. Cost is $100 to $150 for the part. Its not a hard part to replace.

I can only assume that replacement would require a flush of the coolant or just filling the reservoir until its full? I also assume its that dexcool in there...

If you KNOW what type of coolant you have you can just top it off. If you don't know you should plan on a full drain and refill.

I had a leak at that point on mine and it was just the "O-ring" (a bit of misnomer, but the part is analagous to an O-ring) on the thermostat housing to water pump housing flange. Yours does look from your picture to be more like the T-stat housing has failed. But worthwhile to check the Oring seal at the pipe to water pump housing first.

Ordered a new thermostat today...replacement will be on Saturday. Also with a coolant flush and refill with brand new coolant.

Question..anyone know where to get some replacement hoses for all the radiator lines that run rampid on our cars? I am looking in particular to replace the hose that is underneath the intake manifold and also replace the knock sensor while I am there.

This one in particular

Welp all installed and finished. Ended up buying the whole front assembly and the thermostat since I could not tell what was actually leaking. Replaced the coolant with dexcool and all is well. Thanks for all the help guys.

Only issue I had was getting to the thermostat bolts that mount to the engine...whew those are at quite some angle...especially the top one.
