Default Timing chain

Hey guys!
I am going to be doing my timing chain on my 2003 x-type 2.5l v6 odo135k mi
Will this kit work I am unable to find a 2.5l specified model....

Unseen, sorry, but I am not technically savvy enough to help you, but I have a question. I have been a member over 5 years now and you are the first person I remember that I can recall that posted with an issue with the timing chain. Just wondering what happened that you need to change it.

I'm sure someone wil chime in soon that can help you. Good luck with it!

Unseen, it is my understanding that the 2.5L and 3.0L motors use the same block and heads. The difference is in the crank and how far it lets the pistons move. So, the 3.0L timing chain should work for your car.

Like Alfa, I am wondering why you are replacing the timing chain. Because it is a chain (not a belt), the timing chain should last longer than the engine and not need replacing. The exception to this is if you like to do high RPM shifts. Then this can result in some stretching of the chain, but even then, it is very minimal.

I am having some trouble with timing i believe... There were a lot of high rpm shifts! so maybe skiped a tooth.?? I'm not sure so my thoughts is engine needs to be opened see what's going on. Seal kit and timeing chains a good start maybe even look at the valve stems..
To add, when I replaced seals for upper and lower for intake manifold the bank closest to radiator was significantly dirtier(residue) than the back bank (closest to firewall) was clean as could be.
I have the p0171 and p0175 bank 1 lean bank 2 rich
There is no intake leaks. Fuel pressure is where it needs to be when car is on but drops when car is off.
What would your advice be?

Unseen, just to humor me, get yourself a bottle of CD2 oil detergent and dump the bottle into the engine about 50 miles before you go to do an oil change and see what happens to your issue then. It may be possible that you simply have a little bit of grime in the VVT assembly and it is not allowing the timing to be advanced like it should. Running the CD2 should help flush that garbage out and may save you a lot of work. Worst case, you had to do an oil change anyways and this will all get flushed out with the new oil.

Okay I will. I have the intake manifold off now, and I have emptied the coolant (flush).. I have to order some parts from jaguar.. and find some orings for fuel line to fuel rail hose, and for coolant seals

I have some screenshots of the data recorded at idle....
