Default Tire Pressure Monitor ( TPM) OEM ?

From another thread I noticed that TPM was included in an advertisment for an X Type.

Is this an OEM item for USA spec cars or maybe the owner has added an off the shelf unit?

I guess to fit these or not... is more a function of the wheels in use.

Whilst I see great benefit in having them installed and the ability to monitor tyre conditions as you drive..... alas, in my case (concealed valves) I cannot fit valve transponders to my 18" BBS Indianapolis wheels.

In the JEPC, there are several version of the Aruba wheel, one of them has a mention of "tyre pressure monitoring system". No other wheels seem to have that.
