Default Tire Pressures to Improve Handling?

So I'm wondering if there's anything I can do with my tire pressures to reduce the understeer?

I'm running stock 16's 205/55/16 with Bridgestone 960AS. Jaguar recommends 32/32 (F/R) for speeds under a 100 and 38/35 for speeds over a 100.

Will running higher pressures in front and reduce the understeer?

Thanks,

Sunny

No
Simple.
to reduce under steer, you will need to get a wheel alignment and or some suspension work

Yea that's what I was thinking. I could add in more negative camber, but I don't know how adjustable the stock setup is. I was hoping I could alter the handling a bit since different tire pressures changes the contact patch of the tires. Tire Rack states that raising the front pressure and lowering the rear pressure will help reduce understeer a little bit. I'll mess around with it and see if I notice a difference.

Does running different pressures front and rear have any negative effect on the awd system?

So I changed the stock 32/32 pressures to 35F/33R and wow. Huge difference in handling. Front end turns in a lot quicker and the tire doesn't roll around. It kind of feels like i'm riding on rails now. I just turn the steering wheel, punch gas, and go through the corner with barely a hint of understeer. I'm going to keep experimenting. The one downside is that the ride has gotten a tad harder, but since my other car is a bmw, i'm used to this. lol I like the improved road feel.

I would keep an eye on your tire wear. I would expect outer tire wear....

Fronts or Rear?

My old set of front tires wore out on the inside first. So the car is setup with a bit of negative camber.

From what i read so far, it sounds like you need an alignment (all 4) and possibly prior to your alignment new struts....maybe even some coils..... have you measured your ride height? Checked the struts?

I'm gonna bet the alignment is off. way off...
