Default Tire Size questions...

I have an '07 X-Type, lowered on the H&R springs, 1.6/1.8, somewhere in that range. No more than 2 inches. Purchased a set of rims, 18x8, now im curious as to what size tires I should be shopping for? Any help would be great appreciated. Im sure ive seen this topic covered, and couldnt find it. Also know im probably posting this in the wrong area. I apologize.

225/40/18 is the factory 18" option and that is what a lot of us run.

But, if I did it again on an 8" wheel I would do a 245/35/18 for that little extra width and it's also a slightly smaller tire so gearing wise you'd get a LITTLE more low end pull. A 245 will require some fender rolling though, hell even my 225 chewed up my left front fender hitting a huge pot hole with my wheels turned slightly so I would suggest a fender roll if putting anything less than a 42mm offset. No one wants bacon fenders...

My next setup is a 265/35/18 on a 9.5" wheel with et38.
