I'm trying to charge my air conditioner on my 2004 XJ8. I'm using the same setup that I always have used on all of my other cars. However, when I connect to the low pressure side, it won't take any refrigerant. Also, the connector, with the gauge doesn't snap on properly. I noticed a wire that is not connected to anything and I can't find anything to connect it to. I have attached 2 pictures. If anyone knows where this thing might go, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you. Thanks, in advance.

By the front left shock tower.

That is for the electronic CATs type damper/shock - which you clearly don't have. Previous owner maybe swapped it out for standard ones?

Thanks, I would never have figured that out by myself. First I thought that it was part of the factory wiring harness for an option I don't have. But then I thought that they would have capped it and not left it open to the elements. So...I would have kept looking for something that ain't there. Thanks again.
