Default Transfer case swap

Greetings, all! New to Jaguar ownership, and I am wondering if an '02- '03 VC transfer case is a bolt- in swap to a later car. I have a 2005 without DSC; not so great in the Rockies after a storm. (Oh, and I'm putting on actual winter tires- the Continentals are ugly...) Many thanks!

From what I've heard, all transfer cases should be interchangeable.

Before fitting the new (old) transfer case, you might consider a few mods...
- Removing the spring-loaded ball inside breather vent on top of the transfer case, as this can clog and cause issues as the pressure inside the case goes up (this being the suspected cause of my transfer case sweating oil).
- Fit the cooling duct (after fitting the case), part C2S18834 & bolt C2C32665010.
- As one likely source of transfer case issues appears to be incorrectly preloaded bearings, replace them (consult the professionals here first )
