Default Trying to diagnose an issue

Hello everyone,

Trying to diagnose what's wrong with my 2006 3.0 X type. Sometimes I get a slow start (have to keep the key turned for a good few seconds). and twice in the past three months the car stalled during normal driving, killing power steering/brakes, if I pull off to the side of the road, put the car in park it then starts right back up like nothing happened. I've heard it could be the crankshaft sensor? if anyone's faced a similar issue I'ld love to know.

Could be many things. Get an ELM327 and pull the OBD codes. Either post them back here or the SMART way, look them up in SEARCH (a MARVELOUS TOOL).

That being said, I wager a nickle fuel pump dying.

I had the fuel pump replaced just a year or two ago so it better not be that, only trouble I'm seeing after checking codes is an intake air temp sensor circuit intermittent high voltage

The symptoms certainly indicate a temperature sensor (ECT, EFT or IAT) fault is a possibility.

When referring to error codes, always post the actual code(s) and not just the descriptions. Generic code lookups are frequently misleading and the Jaguar DTC lookup should be used.
