Default Water pump replacement

I have a 2005 x-type 3.0 base sedan with the VDP package and recently changed both radiator hoses (thermostat housing tube leaking) and fixed a crack on the radiator fill box overflow tube connector. A few weeks later while doing a fluid check I noticed the radiator fluid a bit low, I refilled and after 2 weeks the level was again low. I also have noticed now that the weather has gotten colder a familiar water pump chirping noise first thing in the morning. There is also signs of fluid under the water pump, so I've decided to change out the water pump.

So here is my question, does anyone know if there is a physical difference between a water pump for a 181 ci and 183 ci engine. There is disparity between multiple parts stores and online sites. There are 2 stores that list specific pumps for a 183 ci for anywhere between $98 and $140. Others don't list a difference between the 2 engines and sell pumps from between $29 and $45. On ebay majority of pumps list for 2002-2008 x-type 6 cyl 3.0 all models, but if you specifically list a 183 ci engine it says not compatiable for that model.

My opinion is that the same pump is used on both engines. Forum sponsor SNG Barratt's printed catalog (free, very useful) shows part number as C2S43292. I've used Rock Auto for a lot of parts. On their website you'll see two pumps (Cardone, Beck/Arnley) that reference that part number and also C2S18139 and C2S5120. I wouldn't have a problem using either of those pumps. SNG Barratt offers two choices - Jaguar OE at $131.20 and an alternate at $53.60. On their website there's no distinction between motor sizes.

The pump did fit without any trouble.
