Ok 05 x-type sport wagon. The s button is wierd first off the button doesn't actually move at all. Secondly it alternates function for example if I start it now and that light comes on it will bit come on the next time I start it and it will comes bank on if I start it after that. Any ideas?

 

If the button doesn't move, I would replace it. At the very least take it out and see if there was a spill into it.

 

Great advice this car is a rescue the previous owner trashed this thing sand and surf wax everywhere do I did a you said and a huge difference it never drive right major shifting problems he didn't know what the button was for so I didn't know if was supposed to move and now it does thx.
