My 2.2 Diesel X-Type have now done 119 000km. I had to replace the DMF on 115 000km and also the Oil Cooler Thermostat. If service regularly what mileage can I expect the diesel motor to reach. I plan to keep the X still for a long time.

 

My friend has a Mondeo diesel with 800 000 km on odometer. Except looking like a total crap, the car runs just fine. So i think the jaguar can reach this mileage as well. At some point, you have to replace the injectors, fuel pump, camchain and a turbo. Other than that, it's pretty much a solid engine.

 

My Son in law has the Ford Mondeo 2.2 ST Tdci ( same engine as the X type )
To say he doesn't treat it well is an understatement, he's at a little over 160k miles, so about 260k kilometres and all is well


With love care and attention I see no reason for it not to go on to 400k, 500k and more.....
