Default what spark plugs?

Getting ready to replace plugs, along with intake gaskets. Just wanted some feedback on what you guys have found to be the best plugs for the 3.0. Is there any advantage (or problems), with the irridium or even those super multi point electrode jobs? What do they actually come with, when new?

I use NGK Iridium's on all 3 of mine. Never had a problem with them and they say they are good for 100,000 miles.
Just be sure to double check the gap. They come pregapped but can be off a little due to handling/shipping.

foxbottom, the multipoint spark plugs are a big no no with the X-Type. The general consensus from the forum members is that they cause way too many problems and the overall feeling is that they actually result in lost power and mileage. I know it sounds contradictory to what the advertising is, but that is what we have found. The multi-spark plugs work great on the older cars, but the new high energy spark systems found in all new cars makes those plugs useless.

As for what was in the car new, that is a loaded question as the plugs changed over the years. Stick with a brand name plug and you will be fine. Also make sure that the plug is referred to as a (double) platinum plug. they make plugs that are not platinum and while they will work in the car, they will wear out quickly. Iridium plugs fall into the same category as the platinum plugs. I am referring more to the all steel plugs from the 70's.

Denso 5325 Iridiums from Rock Auto, less than $6 each. I've put 5k miles on them with no problems. I've used NGK on other cars, and don't think you'll go wrong with them either.
