What's the deal with those expensive PCV valves?
While taking care of my catalytic converter (pita), I noticed a lot of oil in the intake manifold.
I dumped it out, but wonder if my PCV valve is the culprit. The hose from the PCV valve was also coated in oil.
I am sure that it is an old, worn engine, so I understand blowby can also cause this, but it seemed to be coming up through the PCV to me.
I cleaned the PCV and it seems clean, but maybe it is letting too much oil in?
I was going to change it, but find that they are $40 for my 2002 model. The green one. Not easy to find around here, either. There is a grey one for $12 for x-types, and I wonder how different they are.
Anyway, why is the green one so expensive? Can I use the grey one?

Engine number decides it according to this
" From Engine No 173664 To Finish 2009 "
