Default Wheels and tyres

Hi

Need some help on wheels and tyres to fit my 2009 X Type. Would a pair of 255 35 18 fit a set of 18" 8.0J Triton rear wheels from an S Type without any rubbing issues or are they too big?

If they are too big, what's the max size without modifications?

Many thanks

Dave

Just bought new tires tires last last Thursday. Dealer said on 17" rims, only 2 options = original size 225 45r17, or can go to 235 45r17.

In the U.S., Discount Tires actually has a program on their computer that they can input any car, model, etc. And it will tell them if there are any rubbing (suspension) or turning problems with any given tire size.
