There is 2 fuse boxes one in the engine compartment and one in the passenger compartment under the left side of the dash.

The model year 2000 up to March 2004 has a fuse F82. The model year after March 2004 and up doesn't have a use F82. F82 in the 2000 and up is listed as a mini 10 amp for the variable power steering, alternator.

thanks avern but on my car the fuse box is on the left (driver side) under the steering colomn. nothing visible on the right (passenger) side.
later 2004 3.0 sport
battery light is staying on. according to thermo in an old post, fuse f82 is first thing to check

My apology for not being clear. The box is in the passenger COMPARTMENT on the LEFT side. Right where yours is located. You need to look at the fuse box in the interior. If the highest fuse number is 55 the your build date is after March 2004 and fuse F82 doesn't apply to your model year.
