When i put my passenger window up and down, it makes a screeching sound. Does anyone know why this is happening, and if there is a fix for it

 

Do you have tints, because mine do it and the dealer told me it was because of the tints? From the look of your avatar, it looks like you have 5% all around!

 

yeah i have tints, but it never happen for about 2 years, i dont see y it wud start now. Im gettin the tints off this week, so ill see if the screechin still occurs. If it does, ill go to the dealer have em fix it, and then have the tints replaced after i clear the fixit ticket.

 

My drivers window doesnt screech but has started juddering sometimeswhen going up.The other day it stopped going up and went down slightly again as it must have thought something was caught when juddering.Wonder what is causing this?

 

A faulty motor. Sometimes it'll work, sometimes it wont! Have the dealer check it out!

 

I had the same problem, than one day I cleaned the glass....and the sound went away

 

i think ill try that, put some pressured water down the edge to see if theres any crap stuck in there

 

Don't do that! The little rain guards that press against the window are there for a reason. If water gets in there it'll seap into the door and interior panel. Your speakers might get wet, and the window regulator can short out!

Stop at a Ford dealer and ask fo "Mini vent widow lube" - p/n XL-10. It's $17 a bottle, but maybe they'll just let you use some. Just a squirt down each window channel works wonders.

 

Let us use some? JAJA.. I think it would be $17 well spent!

 

You're probably right, it's a small bottle, only 4oz. Probably a lifetime supply!

haha, i know a lot of peolpe bitch about the tax thats about a dollar or two, dont really see the point. dont they know time is money too
