Has anyone used a universal washer pump? Mine are not working on both my 07 X Type and 97 XK8.

No responses must surely mean nobody on the forum has so far had any experience of "universal" pumps with their Jaguar. Actually, I have never had a pump fail on me, so I would have thought that as failure is so rare, it is worthwhile buying the genuine part. Do be aware that the original pump fits into the wash reservoir, so fitting another one that doesn't fit there is likely to be a prolonged job.

'So why do you want to use a "universal pump" ?

 

Mainly price. OEM are over $100 vs $15 for a universal.
The pump is on the outside of the reservoir.
