Hi All
i have a 06 X-type, i have had a problem with the Windscreen washers the driver side works a little amount then stops, the other side not working at all?
i have taken the jets out and cleaned them out and soaked them in hot water?
the pump sounds like its working fine?
there are no leaks under the car so i don't thin i have a split or hole in the pipe?
all a bit of a mystery
anyone help?

 

The first simple test, have you tried the washers with the hood/bonnet open ?

If OK then check that the supply pipe by the hinges is NOT being squashed when you close the lid.
If it is, then ensure it is in its clip and out of the way of an attacking hood/ bonnet.

 

Remove the washer jets and blow thru them, If you can blow thru them, try working the washers with the hoses off and see if water comes out of the hoses.

 

Hi All
i have taken the hose off at the no return valve and blown back down the pipe
the water bubbles up in the tank. = not blocked.
i have also tried running the water pipe hanging off the car and not a lot comes out?
