My key transmitter suddenly stopped working and i can now only open the car manually. i thought its the battery so i changed it but still doesn't work.
does any body know what else can i check before i go to a jag dealer

 

Your remote fob probably needs to be reprogrammed. Here is how to do it.


Step 2. Turn the key to position II and back to I (quickly repeat four times) and you will hear a chime if it was done correctly.

Step 3. Turn the key all the way back and take it out.

Step 4. Now press any button on the key fobs to be added and you will hear another chime.

Step 5. If you have a set of keys for step (4) you have to press any button on two or more fobs at the same time so they both have the same code or else one will work and the others wont.
